REV- Sketches & Critique

Initial Ideas:

For this book review presentation, I obviously wanted to include information like strengths, weaknesses and points of interest found in the book, but I also wanted to present it in a way the reflected the contents of the book. I chose to use light blue and red for my graphic elements because these two colors were prevalent throughout the book and would show up well in a projection. I chose to use a simple layout with solid color line elements, which also reflected the style of the book layout.

Personal Critique of Final:

I feel this presentation successfully reflects the style of "Graphic Design That Works". I feel that I could have gone more in depth with the information provided in the presentation. I found it difficult to create a simple, easy to read presentation without being too minimalistic, or to provide enough information without turning the presentation into a novel.

Ellie-
Having done a report on the same book as you, I thought your presentation reflected the style of the book and nicely summarized its contents. Your color choices also worked well and the slides were simple and easy to read. I agree with what you said about the cover being boring and does not catch your attention, especially because the inside is fun and nicely laid out.
